Under your nose

You can travel across oceans, take 12 hour flights and climb volcanos.

You can sail between glaciers and reach the most remote places on earth.

You can get lost in canyons and get exhausted all alone, having to talk to yourself just to make it through.

You can swim with sea turtles and jump out of planes.

You can ride horses, eat til you burst, get dirty and sleep on buses.

You can see wild animals, play with squirrels and laugh with birds.

You can live in airports, worship Starbucks for their free wi-fi and wear flip-flops all day.

You can see planets, see God’s wonders on earth, see man’s creations.

You can see the stars, reach for the stars, fall from the stars.

You can go there, you can go even further away, you can go as far away as you can imagine.

You can jump, you can run, you can hide.

But eventually you must stop. Slow down. And look under your very nose.

And then you can see, you can feel and you can touch.

You can buy your way into all kinds of experiences.

You can do whatever you want.

There is only one thing you can’t buy, only one thing you can’t get just because you want to.

And that’s looking into the eyes of a stranger who is a stranger no more.

And then you can get lost in that sea of wonders, and feel the waves as warm as a breath hugging you and taking you to places you never dreamed of.

The best trip in life is the one another person can take you with the way they look at you. There are no tickets for that trip. Only hope and faith.

My passport just got stamped.
